Maps a Team entity to a TeamDTO.

If the entity is null, a custom teamName may be provided for display purposes when no formal team record exists in the database.

Parameters:

entity - the Team entity to map; may be null

teamName - the team name to use when the entity is null; may be null

Returns:

the corresponding TeamDTO, or null if the entity is null
